Commissioning process

The commissioning process begins by your inspirations, ideas and desires being expressed to me over a period of time, usually through both talk and email. Once there is a clarity about the project and it’s details, including your budgetary requirements, a rough estimate of the costs is given. Upon your approval, scale drawings are made and presented for which there may be a design fee negotiated. After your feedback and any required adjustments to the plan, terms are negotiated to suit both parties, including price, payment schedule, and delivery time and means and a contract is then drawn up.
The designing process is the most enjoyable aspect of this work for me, especially when it’s done in collaboration with the owner of the piece being designed. I encourage you to contact me to discuss your furniture design desires and interests. |
